Administration for Community Living - Administration on Aging
The federal Administration on Aging (AOA) is part of the Administration for Community Living (ACL). The focus is on: older adults, persons of all ages with disabilities, caregivers, and families. Resources for consumers are limited to referrals to a variety of federally supported programs.
These include: Eldercare Locator with links to community-based services, Centers for Independent Living, Long-Term Care Ombudsmen, Senior Medicare Patrol, SHIP health insurance information programs, pension rights, Aging and Disability Resource Centers, and resources for a number of issues: TBI, Paralysis, Elder Justice, as well as American Indian and Native American programs. American Heart Association and American Stroke Association – New Hampshire
We offer public awareness campaigns about knowing the signs of heart attack and stroke and calling 9-1-1 immediately if they occur. Community-based initiatives help to raise public awareness that underscore the importance of learning CPR, engage the community in advocating for the AHA's Chain of Survival, and foster accessing the emergency medical system immediately upon recognition of onset of symptoms.

NH Department of Transportation - Regional Coordinating Councils (RCC)
New Hampshire is divided into eight Community Transportation Regions. Each region has an associated Regional Coordinating Council (RCC), which is composed of local transportation providers, human service agencies, funding agencies and organizations, consumers, and regional planning commission staff. Each RCC has Mobility Managers that maintains a listing of transportation resources in their region. Individuals can be referred to their local RCC for these resources.

Social Security Administration
Social Security is a federal program of financial and medical benefits for older adults, disabled, or surviving spouse and dependent children. It is based upon employer and employee contributions. Social Security provides cash benefits and Medicare insurance to those who have contributed during their employment. Supplementary Security Income provides cash payments to the needy aged, disabled (including disabled children) and blind to insure a minimum income.
