Approximately a quarter of adults with asthma indicate their asthma was caused or made worse by their current job. Workplace exposures such as chemicals, indoor air pollution, dust, cleaning materials, cutting oils, smoke, paint, latex and mold can worsen pre-existing asthma or cause asthma to develop.
